"MOMMY" HAS PUDDING FOR BRAINS
That (PUDDING) would be my name lately, as I embark on the task of finding a home for my family to live in/buy/love/grow up in... Do I sound irratic already?
I am always catching myself laughing, when I hear this familiar phrase at home: "Yes, Mommy." I laugh for two reasons:
1. The person giving that response has ABSOLUTELY no intention to do what I have just asked them to do...and might as well just say: "yes, pudding for brains." As to denote that the title "Mommy" carries no authority, and I am so scatter-brained I probably won't notice what hasn't been done.
2. The person is RIGHT. I
AM scatter-brained to a very annoying point at this time, but I
DO notice what doesn't get done. I just don't want to fight, or REPEAT myself 100 times and beat a dead horse. I am pudding for brains.
I have literally gone SOFT in the head, trying to figure out a way to get my family to LISTEN, and follow through with my INSTRUCTIONS. (at this time I must sound a little controlling, right?) Isn't that what every mother wants? Someone who pays attention and listens...makes you feel like your actually SANE?
I am not normally this intense. I am actually very calm and patient. I am a mother. I am a lover. I am a friend. I am an artist and a creative spirit. I am my two boys' greatest FAN. I can cook like the DEVIL, too. Just don't be intimidated! I really am pudding for brains.
