WARNING: this post is not LDS approved or approved by the AAP....

It all started about 12:30am last night.
I was sound asleep...then I heard it. The sound coming through the baby monitor. Avey was rolling restlessly all around her bed, and moaning. I got up, and flew to the nursery. I picked her up, and realized she was still asleep. I did a "mama walk" with her for about 15 minutes, thinking she just needed some soothing. I put her back down and went to bed.
1:30 am: More rolling...this time crying. Up I go, into the nursery. I nursed her, and realized she was awfully sweaty while I was feeding her. I stripped her down to her onesie, and put her back in her crib. She slept till 7:30 am...waking up with an alarming cry! (usually I hear happy coos in the morning!) When I picked her up this time, I knew she had spiked a fever. 102.5* to be exact. I soothed and fed her. I gave her a bit of tylenol, and began the quest to find a church substitute. (9:00am church)
Judd had already left for work, and I am a single mom this sunday. Luckily, Megan the Mia Maids advisor was happy to give the lesson that I had needlessly spent Sat. night preparing. (It was on overcoming sorrow and dissapointment in our lives :) )
Next, I fed and dressed tWo little boys, and gave Eli the chore of combing his and Asher's hair whilst I rocked an unhappy baby. I considered sending them to church alone (we live within walking distance, and primary is 1st in our ward) Then, thoughts of "what could happen without me there" plagued my mind.
I called my Mom, and made plans to drop the boys off for her 12:00pm primary, then run Miss Sassafras to the weekend clinic.
(I'm sure that my ward family doesn't even know we are members of their ward family, since I am usually alone on Sunday, & Judd can't trade off staying with kids, and the odds are with 3 kids, that 3 sundays out of 4 a month are going to be sick days:) I figured, hey since I've already let this Sunday go to heck, I might as well get a Diet Dr. Pepper at Sonic to keep me awake, on the ride to the clinic. (read: JUSTIFICATION) So, I do. Ah! The delicious crispness of it all, paired with a delightful cup full of crunchy ice...Mmmmmmm... (bad MORMON!)
So, I get to the clinic, and it is closed. Huh? It's always open on weekends! Well, just not this weekend:) Avey is asleep, so I drive home, and start to prepare dinner. It gets out of control. I make a Pot Roast, a Summer Squash Medley, and homemade roll dough. I call Mom and tell her the clinic is a bust, and that I am alternating cooking, and holding Avey. My Mom is happy I am making dinner. She keeps the boys. Avey starts to fuss... More tylenol, and (cringing....I know that the AAP advises against this, and I will never do it again...) I turned on "finding Nemo" to see if it would make her happy. SHE LOVED IT! It made her so happy, that repeating this attrocity is going to be difficult to refrain from. I am now finishing up dinner, and thinking...
"oh well.... SOMETIMES A GIRL'S GOTTA DO WHAT A GIRL's GOTTA DO!"

...I just hope little Miss makes it OK till tomarrow! Dr. Gould to the rescue!

SCHOOLS. OUT. FOR SUMMER!! School's. out. FOREVER!

Let me first remark, that I LOOOVE my kids. I just LOVE 'em. DANG, I love 'em.... But now that school has been out for over 3 weeks, I'm am ready for it to start back up again! These little boys are just getting so bored. I am certainly not the best entertainer right now, since I usually have a baby hooked to my chestal area, and mountains of Laundry that just can't be wished away! TO THE RESCUE: My cousin's wife Rebecca has a great list of fun summer boredom busters on the blog http://www.blissfullydomestic.blogspot.com/ that we have been working from, and we are having fun. (though I am JUST SPENT!!)

Here is Eli making an ad for a poster contest about safety. He chose to make his poster about Sun safety..."Put SPF 30 or higher on your little monster, because the sun can be deadly!!" He came up with the Frankenstein mask and the idea himself! He is so Creative!

Asher made a poster about keeping medicine out of reach..."because it is POISON!" he says Maybe I am rubbing off on him a little :)

On the last day of school Me, Vaness, and Avey went to sunny AZ for my cousin Mekell's Wedding to JAKE BELL. Here are my girl cousins at aunt jill's house... minus Bonnie Mekell the Colorado terry cope girls, the texas Mcdaniels girls and Chalyce (sniff....sniff...) We had so much fun seeing everyone, and it was so cool to see Quin and my sister in law Jill again.

So baseball is winding down, and swimming lessons are next! YAY, summer! Yay, school! ( 9 more weeks away!!)

He sometimes wishes he were here.....

But were so glad you're here with us DAD! HAPPY FATHER's DAY from the Monkeys and Sassafras...and your lover....

The Man..

This is my favorite picture that I have of Judd..... Okay, PROBABLY NOT! But, what woman doesn't cherish the moments that their hubby pitches in with the icky housework? He is probably never going to forgive me for taking/posting this picture, but how else would you see how sweet he is? I remember being 3 days from my due date with Avey, and feeling bad that I couldn't bend down to clean the boys bathroom. I didn't even have to ask Judd, I just caught him doing this the next morning. Schcrub, Schcrub, schcrub.... Dang, I love a man who likes to clean! Thanks for being a terrific dad and hubby!

One more pretty picture of Avey and her Daddy....

My friend Danischmack's baby Addie turned 1 this last week, and we had fun at Addie's party! Avey is Addie's baby, because every time we tried to move Avey away from Addie, she would CRY SO HARD!! It was so cute! You could tell in Addie's eyes that she was saying
"hey, don't take her! that's my baby!" I made Addie a Tutu for her party! She looked too cute in it! Happy 1st Birthday, Addie girl!

Avey's Daddy...

Avey's Daddy had his 30th Birthday just 9 days after she was born...
I wanted to have a smashing awesome party for him, to show him how much I love him! Unfortunately, 9 days postpartum, I had very little energy to spare. I think that Avey was a huge GIFT to him, though! This Daddy loves his little girl. I love you honey, and am so glad that you are our babies' Daddy. The boys adore you, and I LOVE you more now than ever before!
